Transition Event - book your place!

We are hosting a wonderful opportunity to help you prepare your son/daughter in their transition to secondary school.

About this event

As you and your child prepare for the important step of moving from primary to secondary school, Valley Invicta Academies Trust (VIAT) would like to offer you the opportunity to hear about life at secondary school. As such, we would like to invite you to a meeting on 6 July 2021 to learn about the importance of a smooth transition and how we can work together to enable this.

We will share information about the following:

  • Personal Development
  • The necessary organisational skills needed at secondary school
  • How to budget for meal planning
  • Adapting to a secondary school timetable
  • Planning the route to school
  • Use of mobile phones
  • Sanctions
  • Taking ownership of planning
  • The daily lesson structure

The Director of Student Development, will try to answer any questions and share thoughts on the differences between both primary and secondary and how students arrive best equipped to begin life at secondary school.

The meeting will be held in the Library of our secondary school – The School of Science and Technology Maidstone and will run from 5pm – 6pm.
